Rooftop Comedy Productions Re-Releases Latest Album From Nick Griffin on April 3
March 23, 2012
San Francisco – March 2012 – Rooftop Comedy, the leading interactive media producer of original comedy content, is thrilled to announce the release of Nick Griffin’s comedy album: Shot In The Face. The album will be available through retailers including iTunes, Amazon, and RooftopComedy.com and will also be available to stream on Pandora, Spotify, and Grooveshark. Following the release of the record, Nick will be touring the nation in April and May. Dates can be found at NickGriffin.net.
Nick Griffin has been blessed (and perhaps cursed) with a sharp cynicism that makes his stand-up stand out. Marc Maron once called Nick “one of the only comedians more unhappy than [he is]”. Whether or not that is actually true is up for debate. What is not, however, is that Nick has been working hard for years now, honing his craft, and paying his dues. With a dozen late night television appearances in the last six years and year-round dates headlining comedy venues throughout the US, Nick Griffin is one of today’s greats. Recorded in 2006 at The Columbus Funny Bone Comedy Club, Shot In The Face complements Nick’s previous album Bring Out the Monkey (2010) with completely different material, observational wit, and lethal cynicism .
A salt-and-peppered 40-something, Nick Griffin is still playing a young man’s game – and winning. His material touches on working out, getting “sex-ready”, drinking, and generally living as a single man in today’s world. As a featured comic at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal as well as the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Las Vegas, Nick is no stranger to the national spotlight and has no intention of stopping anytime soon.
Previously released recordings from ROOFTOP COMEDY PRODUCTIONS include: Tommy Johnagin’s Stand-up Comedy, Grammy® Nominee Sandra Bernhard’s I Love Being Me, Don’t You?, Hal Sparks’ Escape From Halcatraz, Moshe Kasher’s Everyone You Know Is Going To Die, And Then You Are, W.
