For a woman who thought she would work in advertising someday, comedy turned out to be where she landed. Holly Lynnea grew up an only child and shy kid in Louisville, Kentucky. Armed with quick wit and a quirky imagination, she easily set herself apart from the average classroom jokester. It was while she was pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University, she decided to take comedy seriously. She officially accepted the titles “comedian, writer and actress” while training at the iO and Second City Training Centers in Chicago, IL.
In record time, she has opened for D.L. Hughley, and featured for Roy Wood Jr., and Tommy Johnagin. She has also worked with Jimmy Shubert, Pete Correale, Steve O, Rich Vos, Greg Hahn, Maronzio Vance, Louis Katz, Matt Fulchiron and Rod Man. Holly was selected and performed at several comedy festivals including: Cape Fear Comedy Festival, Gilda's LaughFest, Chicago Women's Funny Festival, Cincinnati Brew Ha-Ha, Scruffy City Comedy Festival, and the Derby City Comedy Festival.
Her comedic style can be described in two words: honest & cerebral. She explores the humor in life’s nuances while balancing her quick wit, with off-beat observations. Always engaging, she shares the experiences that led to her quirky worldviews and presents them in a charming, unapologetic little package... bow sold separately.
Holly talks about growing older and getting greyer.
